Sound Reactive LED Cloud

for Son of Cloud, 2019

This LED cloud was commissioned by Brooklyn-based folk musician Son of Cloud. The cloud is equipped with a small microphone that allows it to flash trigger different lighting effect in reaction to sound. I created this using a Teensy microcontroller programmed in Arduino, LED strips and other electronics, an RF remote control, and an onboard rechargeable 12V battery.
